In fact it will do just the oposite, and do as others have said and focus all of the force that would have been disapated by the bumper and transfer it to the top of the hood, and fenders.Yeah, I was planning on buying that as well. I'm not really sure though because the rear bumper guard seems more for like backing up into a light post, not protecting the vehicle while offroading. It was only $50 so I figured it was worth a try and if it doesn't fit, I could always resell it for what I paid.
