By turning the plastic adjuster knob behind the headlight, it doesn't move the light level at all. I turned each knob about 20 revolutions with a socket and saw no results.About this item . As far as replacing them with non auto-level, there shouldn't be any problem. You'll just have a dash switch that does nothing, and a connector by each headlight that doesn't plug in anywhere.
