The early 4l60 have the 4 bolt pattern on the trans. (like the rusty adapter). The later 4l60 have six bolts on the back of the trans likt the blue adapter. The blue trans and adapter is out of a S10. The 241c and adapter are out of a early fullsize truck. The Jeep output shafts go right in and the two case halves bolt right together. Easy peasy! You can probably pick up a 231c or 233c for cheap at a junkyard.The existing speed sensor wires from the 4L60E (purple/white and green/black wires twisted together) will hook to the speed sensor directly above the round gray trans connector on 2wd's, or in transfer case adaptor, or transfer case output housing on 4x4 applications. The new speed sensor plug will hook to the INPUT speed sensor, located above ...A lot of folks like that 3-speed Tcase for the lower gear.
