Always in a Simply Rugged pancake holster with a speedloader pouch on my belt (200gr Gold Dots). If it's not the 3" GP100 it's my 3" 686+ in the same holster. The barrel length for revolvers does not include the cylinder. The GP100 has a ~1 5/8" long cylinder. The S&W cylinder is around 1 3/8".
