Offerup is specifically for irl meetup exchanges. I know it's redundant now, but for anyone else. Do not cash app complete strangers you've never seen before Also, for the love of God (and it REALLY should go without saying but I've seen multiple times on reddit) don't use the aptly named "Friends & Family" cash app with people that aren't your fucking friends and family.I was scammed in this way but not through OfferUp, rather seeking employment. Was sent a fraudulent cashiers check that indeed passed the first checkpoint when deposited. The funds were put into my account & I ended up spending approximately $100 dollars that same day, not thinking anything of it.
