It’s supposed to melt the plastic to some degree and allow it to come out easier. I was hesitant, I mean it IS a gas tank...but figured what the hell. And it worked!First, we prepare the surface of the tank by sanding, cleaning, and drying the area around the hole. Then, we mix the resin and hardener according to the instructions and apply it to the hole, smoothing it out with a putty knife. After the resin has dried, we sand the area to make it even with the surface of the tank.
