Contributor. •. 1 Message. 5 years ago. I too have had an issue with Asurion and AT&T. My S7 had an app crash and I couldn't restart it. I have had insurance on it for 2 1/2 years. I filed the claim and was told I would have to pay a deductible of over $100.00 before a replacement phone could be sent. The device in question must be covered via it's cell number and in use at the time of loss, so no, it wouldn't be covered, and would be considered a fraudulent claim. Further more, most claim types require you to file a claim within 60 days of the incident for the device to be covered. Just fyi.
